As bitdrift’s first dedicated Sales hire, you will partner with the founding team to develop and grow an ongoing revenue stream. You’ll create a sales playbook, build a sales funnel, and cultivate strong customer relationships, engaging with the largest companies at multiple levels. You’ll be the face of the company and the bridge between founder-led sales and a repeatable, scalable business; responsible for hunting new logo opportunities for our mobile observability product line while ensuring the success and expansion of our existing customer base; serve as the essential bridge between our customers and internal teams. Your feedback will be crucial in aligning our marketing, product development, and engineering efforts with the real needs of our clients, ensuring our strategies are well-targeted and market-focused.
You will design and implement a go-to-market strategy with precise short-term objectives and long-term goals, supported by a clear roadmap to success. Additionally, you will establish robust processes and systems for recruiting and training new sales team members, ensuring a structured and efficient approach to scaling the GTM strategy.
The ideal candidate excels at listening, communicating, and connecting the dots between bitdrift’s product strategy and customer needs. You will be a trusted advisor to some of our most prestigious clients, driving both their success and that of bitdrift.
What You’re Responsible For
Owning the sales process from top of funnel lead generation to deal closing.
Discovering, prospecting, and qualifying new logo opportunities with companies that fit the ideal customer profile for bitdrift.
Creating and driving up-sell opportunities within the existing customer base.
Representing bitdrift to customers in all sales-related matters and understanding their business, product requirements, and industry challenges.
Directing complex sales, including account mapping, development of high-level relationships, account strategies, and identifying thematic use cases.
Maintaining sales pipeline data and activity reports, providing management with accurate sales forecasts.
Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to implement an overall sales strategy and playbook.
Providing structured feedback to Product & Engineering to inform product messaging and enhance visibility of product adoption across our customer base.
Availability to travel as needed.
Who You Are
Proven track record with 5+ years of experience in closing roles at a SaaS solution, preferably at an APM, Monitoring, or Log Management provider with a record of exceeding quota (especially in Mobile).
Highly organized, results-driven, and self-motivated.
Accountable, with an eye for detail and interest in technology.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable speaking with end-users and senior-level executives by phone, email, and in person.
Proven ability to effectively demonstrate complex technology and communicate the value proposition of technical solutions to prospects and customers.
Familiarity with the latest tools that leverage automation across the sales lifecycle is preferred.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and the challenges that software engineers, managers, and executives face.
Genuine interest in the software development industry, with the initiative to tackle and understand the newest trends and technologies.
Self-motivation, time management, and personal accountability; overall hunter mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Strong analytical and presentation skills using common sales and business tools.
